Dymo Labelwriter 320 Driver

I can get a Dymo 320 for a good price, but I'm running Windows 10. I've already found that not all Dymo 320 models will work with Windows 10. According to this site:
https://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/news/dymo-labelwriter-windows-10-driver-software.html
Not all the 320 models will work, only the: LabelWriter 320 (models 90892, 93031 & 93036 ONLY)
And here lies my problem, the Dymo I can buy is the 90795 (USB). Can I make a simple, small virtual machine with XP/7/? and print my labels through there?

Hello MichaelStickland!

I would just like to confirm that the second solution provided by Krishna Prasobh V will resolve your issue.

As long as the software is run in compatibility mode (We recommend for Windows 7) then you should not encounter any other problems with the Dymo Label Software.

We are working on resolving this issue so that it will not be necessary anymore but until then this will get you up and running.

Thank you and best regards,

Jesper K

Doesn't work for me (Dymo 450): the software works, but when I plug in the printer I get 'unknown device'. Tried many times, did a clean install (as suggested by Dymo support), but still no luck. Sad to see that a large company like Dymo didn't come up with functional Windows 10 driver / software yet!

So all I can do now is wait and hope for the best or dump our 2 Dymos for a different brand - and I don't really want to do that :-(

Dear PikeGER,

The problem you are experiencing can be caused due to a bad driver or a problem with the USB connection, in order to verify exactly where the problem starts please see the following article from Microsoft on how to open the Device Manager

Once in there, please verify if you are able to locate the Dymo printer under either 'Other Devices' or 'Universal Serial Bus Controller'.

Please reply back with the result and we can investigate further, alternatively if you wish you can get in direct touch with our support on the following links.

And our skilled agents will gladly help you.

As well, a new software version is being worked on by our developers at this moment which will provide updated support for Windows 10, no ETA for release at this moment.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

With best regards,

Dear Jesper & all,

thank you for your reply here. I received two very good instructions (first one 1 1/2 pages, the second one half a page more) from Dymo, how to get my 2 Dymos working under Windows 10 - and full points for that support team: my little label printers work perfectly again.

Unfortunatlely the replies I received are in German ( I am German too), so it wouldn't make any sense to post them here.

I can only recommend to get on to the Dymo helpdesk, these guys are good and most helpful!

Regards

Sven aka PikeGER

Can Dymo advise whether the ponderous install (150MB file and THEN Microsoft .NET) will be revisited? For such a tiny device, it looks like a rather massive install. I'd rather not eat close to a gig just to run a label driver that produce tiny labels. I was about to launch the software/driver on my Surface Book then gasped when I had to download .NET as well. Not nice use of hard drive real estate. I'll wait for the sequel, and buy Avery Labels in the meantime.

Dear PeterL_942,

We would first like to thank you for your feedback, the installation size and use of .NET, this will be forwarded to our development team for consideration.

Dymo Labelwriter 320 Driver

At this time however I do not have any information as to if something specific will be changed to reduce the size dramatically. We do however always do our best to constantly improve on both the physical product and the software that comes with so the feedback itself is not falling on deaf ears instead will be taken into consideration going forward.

I do hope that you will be willing to give Dymo a shot in the future and that you keep an eye out for a smaller size software.

Thank you for your time and best regards,

Dymo 450 Turbo

My computer Windows 10.

The download has a mandatory .Net 3.5 install.

Windows 10 comes with .Net 4.0

There is no way to deselect the .Net install portion of the installer.

If you choose express or custom you get a greyed out box with .Net being selected.

the problem is it starts the install and then goes to grab .Net and fails.

Help! Elementary school librarian cannot use her label printer.

Is there a Win10 driver coming soon? Is there a backdoor scripted install I can use to bypass .Net?

Does a different driver work?

Obviously a Dymo issue and not a Microsoft issue.
