Description of Duke Nukem

Duke Nukem is a 2D platform game developed and published by Apogee Software, featuring the adventures of the fictional character Duke Nukem. The game was followed by another 2D scroller, Duke Nukem II, in 1993. The series made the jump to 3D graphics with Duke Nukem 3D in 1996, which became the most popular of the three games. I am now 24, and I was about 13 or so when I first played Duke Nukem 3D. Babes, bullets, and a hero that spewed witty one-liners almost as often as he spewed bullets from his ever handy array of weapons, that summarizes the Duke Nukem experience. Duke Nukem Forever is a nice trip back down memory lane. Jun 24, 2019  Duke Nukem 3D is the third title in the Duke Nukem series of action games. It was developed by 3D Realms and released in 1996 as a shareware release that offered a portion of the game for free. This shareware release included the first episode or chapter titled 'L.A. Meltdown' where Duke fights through Los Angeles.

Duke Nukem (aka Metal Force) is a video game published in 1991 on DOS by PC-SIG. It's an action game, set in an arcade, sci-fi / futuristic, shooter and platform themes.

My first computer game on my first computer... a 286sx (no math co-processor) with 40m hard drive, 64k ram, 3.5 AND 5.25 floppy drives. But with a blazing fast 1200 baud modem I could FLY on BBS (there WAS no 'dial-up internet' at that time). Between Duke, Captain Keen, and Hero's Quest: So You Want to Be a Hero (renamed Quest For Glory), my wife didn't even see me for 3 years.

I played the shareware version(Episode 1) when it came out. I remember how pissed I was when the boss flew away and told me to catch him in the next episode. well, that's what you get for trying to save 30 bucks. I guess I'll just have to download this to finally get him.
